Don't Drive While Impaired

Tis the season for holiday get togethers!

As you are taking a ride around town, the all-new 2020 Eclipse Cross, Outlander, RVR and Outlander PHEV are great for carpooling or when selecting a designated driver!

Make sure you have a ride if you are drinking. Driving under the influence can put anyone at risk.

  • Carpool
  • Call a taxi
  • Holiday driving service
  • Call a sober friend
  • Stay over

Make the right decision.

Adjust To Weather Conditions

Clean Off Your Windows

If your windows are covered in snow or ice, you can't see other vehicles properly. Take a few minutes to clean off all your windows

Use Headlights

When any form of precipitation is falling, turn on your headlights so other drivers can see you and you can see them.

Fit Your Vehicle With Reliable Tires

Make sure that your tires are up to the task by having them inspected by one of our service technicians. In addition to tread, check the tire pressure routinely. Ask us about tire specials

Winter Safety Kit

Invest in a winter safety kit! You can make your own to include the following:

  • First aid kit
  • Non-perishable food and water
  • Blankets, extra clothes and a change of footwear
  • Shovel and cat litter or sand
  • Flashlight and batteries
  • Road flares
  • Heat packets
  • An emergency phone battery charger
  • Waterproof matches and candles
  • Swiss Army Knife
  • Jumper cables and a tow chain or rope

Drive More Defensively

Slow Down

Based on road conditions, like snow and ice, adjust your speed accordingly. Try to keep a 5-second cushion between you and the car in front of you at all times - more if the weather conditions are poor.

Beware of Distracted Driving

Avoid using your cell phone, adjusting the radio, eating or drinking  while driving to ensure your sole focus is on the road at all times.

Utilize Vehicle Safety Features

Newer vehicles have built-in safety features like backup cameras, blind spot sensors and cross traffic alert sensors. Learn how to use yours effectively.

Safety Tip: Scheduling seasonal maintenance will ensure that your built-in safety features are performing at their best!

Maintain Your Vehicle

Keep An Eye On Your Tires

Improper tire pressure can affect your gas mileage and increase the wear on your tires. To keep your tires in top shape, keep a tire gauge in your vehicle and check the pressure regularly.

Top Off All Fluids

Perform regular fluid checks such as; washer, oil, transmission, brake and coolant levels can aide in the longevity of your engine especially during seasonal changes.

TIP: Replace your wiper blades every six to twelve months. Ask us about new wiper blades!

Inspect Your Lights and Brakes

Check your headlights and tail lights regularly to increase visibility on your travels. Replace any broken bulbs as soon as you can.

Worn brakes will delay your ability to stop quickly and are more likely to cause an accident. Check your brakes with one of our trusted service specialists to check and/or replace your brakes. Schedule a service appointment today!

Keep Your Battery Charged

Check your battery to avoid any troubles down the road, especially during the cold winter. Our service specialists can test your battery during routine maintenance and oil changes.
